Toothless

After much pushing, prodding, and pulling, Madelyn has lost another tooth. And even better – she pulled this one out herself! She’s been wiggling it for days. “I think it’s ready” she kept saying, “look at it”. (How many times do I have to look at it barely hanging there by a thread? It so grosses me out!!) She even asked me to pull at it today – to which I said an exuberant HECK NO! She was so proud of herself for getting it out all by herself – as she should be.

As you can see in one of these pictures, the other big one in the front is really loose too! It’s also barely hanging there – and she’s been obsessively working on that one now. It won’t be long either…

So now, the question of the day to you all… how much does the tooth fairy pay for a tooth these days? It’s been quite a discussion. As Jennifer and I were discussing this very topic, she relayed Hollie (Madelyn’s cousin) losing her first tooth. When Hollie woke up the next morning, she came running down the stairs, so excited, that she SAW the tooth fairy – she swore by it – and happily recalled that the tooth fairy wore a pink and purple dress. So, that must only mean one thing… Hollie’s dad is very fond of dressing up in girls clothes! Grammy – if you’re reading this – time to get on to Trey’s pink and purple tutu!!!
