Well, I've decided to join the latest fan fare, and start my own blog. I love going in to look at other's, so I thought why not. I assure you, it's not because my life is so interesting, or that I have so many people I simply can't keep in touch otherwise. But I figured, what better way to share news or pictures, or just talk about nothing at all.

So, here we go... Post 1.

We've entered week 2 of our summer with Madelyn. I'm having a ball, and am completely exhausted all at the same time! Madelyn is loving camp. She comes home singing and talking about games I've never heard of every day. And she comes home smelly - like outside. I can tell she is playing hard, and I love it. She's ready to go to bed when I say bedtime, so that should tell you so something! Last week their field trip was to Hawaiian Falls - a waterpark. You can bet she had a blast! This week they go to Speed Zone to ride go carts, play putt-putt, etc. She's very much looking forward to that. And next week is Six Flags - the ultimate send off for her last week of camp. After a few weeks back with her mom, she goes to Blanco with Grammy and Grandad, and then a week with Daddy and Rarah. I have to get thinking on what we're going to do to fill that time. Otherwise, we end up being just plain lazy. Thank goodness the girls will be home from camp by then.

And speaking of the girls - I'm counting down until they are home! It's so funny how I could go a few weeks without seeing them and be fine, but when they are gone and I CAN'T see them, I miss them so much!!! They've been gone only over a week, and it feels like an eternity. And Madelyn is VERY ready for her big cousins to be home too!

This past weekend was a lazy one - not too much going on. Saturday was water aerobics in the morning, followed by errands and general nothingness. Ash came over for dinner and we all just hung out. Sunday was step class in the morning - that was a tough one, but I stuck it out for the whole hour and was really proud of myself. I look like a fool next to April - who has it down like a rockstar, but she keeps me motivated to keep going. The rest of Sunday was more laziness for us all. Tonight I have session 4 with my trainer - and afterward only 4 more to go. When am I going to start noticing results - hmmm?!

This weekend we head to Houston for the 4th of July. A long weekend with Bubbe and my Mia - woohoo!! Not sure what we have planned, but whatever it is will be fun. And a short work week is always a good thing. Madelyn is very excited to see her Bubbe and spend some time with her cousin. We're all looking forward to it.
